I recently received a call from a potential customer. She had just had her carpet cleaned by a different company, after a dog left many stains all over it. The company, in addition to using their truck-mount high-pressure system, used some sort of special product on the pet stains. (Did she say it was some kind of ozone or enzyme? I purposely didn’t ask, nor did I ask for the name of the company.) The carpets were satisfactorily clean (although they were still damp after four days), but the treated pet stains now had a funny white circle around each one, brighter than the surrounding carpet. She had asked the cleaner to come back, which he did, but another treatment didn’t improve the situation.
She also mentioned that the job, for an average-sized five-room house, cost over $600! Wow!
This just made me reflect on how I would have approached the situation. My regular products and cleaning system can eliminate almost any pet stain, with no special products needed! (Actually, I do have a product that I inject through the carpet into the pad, but that’s only for extreme situations where there’s still a strong smell.) No mysterious lingering spots, no re-visits, and for darn sure no $600+ charge!
There are lots of whiz-bang products available, both off the shelf and by professionals, that have questionable ingredients, as well as undesirable results. My products get back to the basics. They are 100% organic, non-toxic, and completely reliable to get your carpets clean and fresh virtually every time.
I must add a disclaimer here: Extreme dirt or stain situations are not always completely removable! But I guarantee I’ll do my best, with the strongest products I can safely use, to make a vast improvement in what’s “underfoot.”
